Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A massive traffic jam occurred under the Sangram Nagar flyover at 6.45 pm on Saturday.
As a result, long queues of vehicles were seen stretching across the area for nearly half an hour. Riders and drivers stuck in the gridlock had to wait a considerable amount of time to find their way out.
Vehicles coming from Shahanoormiyan Chowk, both over the flyover and along the road below, along with vehicles arriving from the Renuka Mata Kaman area, High Court Colony and MIT flyover, all converged at the same point beneath the Sangram Nagar flyover.
This led to a serious face-off from all directions, resulting in long queues building up on three sides. Vehicles were lined up all the way from the middle of the Shahanoorмiyan flyover to the underside of the Sangram Nagar flyover.
On the other side, the queue stretched as far as the PWD Colony near Beed Bypass. Because of this, riders and drivers caught in the jam had to bear the brunt of the severe traffic disruption.
