Love Aurangabad: AMC appeals to make mega cleanliness drive successful
Aurangabad, Oct 31:
The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and the Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL) today implemented the mega cleanliness campaign in all nine zones of the city.
Dubbed as '' Love Aurangabad'' the campaign was implemented from early morning by sanitary workers and staff, said the municipal commissioner and administrator A K Pandey.
Pandey appealed to the citizens to voluntarily participate in the campaign which will continue daily till Diwali festival. It may be noted that the guardian minister Subhash Desai had inaugurated the campaign while in the city.
The sanitary workers today lifted the garbage, removed wild grass etc. from each zone. The campaign was supervised by the Head - Solid Waste Management Cell, Nandkishore Bhombe.
The campaign was implemented in Khadkeshwar temple vicinity in Zone I, Kartiki Hotel to Baba Petrol Pump area in Zone II, Khizri Gate to Ganesh Colony area (near Salim Ali Lake) in Zone III, Hudco Corner to SPI Corner in Zone IV, SBI Chowk to Renuka Mata Temple (Cidco N-1) in Zone V, Jalna Road in front of Hotel Ambassador in Zone VI, Akashwani Chowk to API Corner in Zone VII, Rashid Mamu Complex-Beed Bypass Area in Zone VIII and Railway Station to
Mahaveer Chowk in Zone IX.
The AMC has planned to implement a cleanliness drive during the whole year so that the name of our city shines in the list in the top ten Clean Cities of the country.
The citizens should clean their houses, clean up the vicinity, housing society with sanitary workers and cooperate with AMC administration in implementing the campaign successfully, said Pandey.
