Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A man was killed while his wife was injured when a speeding truck rammed their vehicle at the Gopalpur area on the Cambridge–Savangi bypass road on Sunday morning.

A case has been registered at Chikalthana Police Station against the absconding truck driver (MH-25-AJ-6041). The deceased has been identified as Aslam Osman Shaikh (35, Shaharpalshi)

Aslam Sheikh, who worked in a private job, lived in the Palshi area with his family, including two sons and two daughters.

He and his wife Shama, had gone to the Jhalta Phata area on April 26, on a two-wheeler to attend a relative’s wedding. After the ceremony, they were heading to Kolthanwadi to attend another wedding.
