Aurangabad, May 13:

A video of a man carrying a 12 bores gun of his neighbourer made viral on social media cost dearer to two persons. The crime branch police arrested the man and an ex-serviceman on whose name the gun permit was registered, on Thursday.

The arrested have been identified as Gautam Babasaheb Bankar (Misarwadi) and ex-serviceman Raju Shankar Kharat.

Police said, Kharat is an ex-serviceman and presently work as a security guard in Ajanta Banka at Old Mondha. He has a gun and the permit for it. Accused Bankar is his neighbor and used to visit Kharat’s house frequently. He without the knowledge of Kharat took the gun and made a video to create panic in the area. He made this video viral on whatsapp, a few days back.

When the crime branch knew about it, ASI Vitthal Javkhede, Shaikh Habib, Vijay Nikam, Shivling Honrao, Govind Pachrande and others arrested both the accused. A case has been registered at the Cidco police station.
