Aurangabad, March 3:

A manager taking undue advantage of his rights to sale and purchase duped a factory owner of Rs 3,49,566 at a private company at Chikalthana MIDC area.

The accused has been identified as Vishal Ashok Pawar (Dashmeshnagar).

Police said, complainant, Amit Kiran Nahar is the owner of Hemay Infrastructure Private Ltd, situated at Chikalthana MIDC area. Pawar was the project manager in the company between the period May 12, 2020 and August, 2020. He was given the rights of sale and purchase in the company. During this period, he duped the company by purchasing articles for the company from a dealer in more prices than the original cost. He paid the bills to the dealer and then took the additional amount in the bills from him. When Nahar realized about it, he asked Pawar about it. However, he did not give any satisfactory answers and hence he was sacked. A case was registered against him with the commissioner of police. When the police investigated the matter, it was found that Pawar had duped the company of Rs 3,49,566. The Cidco MIDC police registered a case in this regard on Tuesday. PI of the economic offence wing, Dadasaheb Shingare is further investigating the case.
