A married woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her house in N-4, Cidco. The incident came to light on Saturday night. She was identified as Manisha Mahesh Bhandari (29), while the reason why she took the extreme step could not be known.

The Pundliknagar police said Manisha’s husband Mahesh is a banker and they have a four-year-old daughter. On Saturday around 11 pm, Manisha went to the storeroom in front of the house and hanged herself from the ceiling there. When the family members knew about it, they immediately took her to the Government Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead after examination. A case of accidental death has been registered, while the police are investigating further.
