Married woman files molestation complaint against man

A 37-year-old married woman from Ranjangaon lodged a molestation complaint at Waluj MIDC police station after repeated harassment and threats from a man.

The accused, Dnyaneshwar Gawande, allegedly threatened to send morphed photos to her relatives, including her son-in-law on Monday. Earlier, on February 10, he forcibly entered her home around 10 pm, threatened her and her son, and attempted to molest her. She resisted and raised an alarm, following which her husband and son intervened, and Gawande fled. The woman and the accused had met five years ago at a company in Waluj. After the lockdown in 2021, he began stalking her at home and work, despite her objections. Fearing social stigma, she initially avoided reporting the matter. However, continued harassment through calls and threats forced her to file a complaint. Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
