Minister granted stay on bank director's disqualification
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil granted a stay on the orders of the divisional joint registrar (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) of cooperative societies to disqualify Javed Patel from the post of director of District Central Cooperative Bank.
Respondent (no 1) Divisional Joint Registrar has given different orders. There is no provision for review in the law. In view of this, the Minister of Cooperation said that Javed Patel's disqualification from the post of director is being temporarily stayed at present. The date for the next hearing has been fixed for June 4.
During the hearing, Javed Patel, adv K F Shingare and adv. Sarjerao Munde was present while Kiran Chaudhary, Assistant Registrar of Gangapur, was present on behalf of defendants no 1 and 2.
A no-dues certificate was issued by the Satara branch of the District Bank on 15 April 2024 stating that Javed Patel does not have any bank loan.
The divisional Joint Registrar also informed the complainant Ashok Kale in his decision dated 9 September 2024 while replying to his complaint. However, Javed Patel was disqualified while making the decision on Kale's re-complaint. Now, the Cooperation Minister has temporarily stayed Javed Patel's disqualification.
