Minister Sattar instructs officers to plan bhoomipujan of ZP new building in 1 month

Minister of State for Rural Development and Revenue Abdul Sattar said asked the officers-bearers and officers of Zill Parishad (ZP) to plan for bhoomipujan of new ZP building in one month.

He visited ZP on Monday first time after taking charge of minister’s post.ZP president Meena Shelke, vice-president L G Gaikwad, chairman of Construction Committee Kishor Balande, members Keshav Tayade, Ramesh Gaikwad and Ramrao Shelke, chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Mangesh Gondawale, Santosh Kawde, district health officer Dr Sudhakar Shelke and department heads were present.

A total of 50 crore fund was sanctioned for the new building.

He asked the officers to prepare an action plan for the construction of ZP before the term of office-bearer''s ends and there will be no shortage of fund from District Planning Development Committee.

The minister, at the beginning of the meeting, raised the issue of pending work of primary health centre (PHC) of Bharadi in Sillod tehsil.

Abdul Sattar asked the officers concerned to solve the issue of street poles and trees. He directed the CEO to personally look into the PHC and organise an exhibition of products prepared by self-help groups of Sillod and Soyegaon.

“The term of elected ZP members will end after 14 months. Nobody can tell as to when the model code of conduct will be implemented. While facing an election, people will ask us to show development. Pay attention to the development works,” he informed this to the office-bearers.

Dr Shelke brought to the notice of the minister about the vacant posts of 265 in the health department and ambulance of more than 15-years old, Sattar asked the district collector to make provision for the fund.

He said that he would take up the issue of vacant posts with the health minister. Sattar asked the officers to construct a commercial complex at three places on the open land of ZP.
