Aurangabad, July 2:

The activists of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Friday chanted slogans against the district collector after he denied meeting the delegation. The activists had gone to meet the collector demanding to extend the time of the lockdown from 4 pm to 7 pm.

The activists in a memorandum had demanded that the state government recently announced restrictions in the state. The same rules have been implemented by the district administration. However, the number of covid patients had decreased significantly. Hence all the transactions should be allowed till 7 pm. This will reduce the loss faced by the traders. However, the district collector denied meeting the delegation. Furious, activists then shouted slogans against the collector. MNS district president Suhas Dasharathe said the lockdown was implemented a day late for the pre scheduled programmes of the guardian minister. All programmes had violations of covid rules. We went out protesting against the district administration as no one was coming forward for accepting our memorandum. City president Satnamsingh Gulati, Sandeep Kulkarni and Ashok Pawar were present.
