MSRDC constructs five interchanges connecting Samruddhi Mahamarg in district

Here is good news for the vehicle-owners from Aurangabad and Jalna districts as they could also enjoy driving their vehicles on Samruddhi Mahamarg (Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway) as the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will be constructing five interchanges on the stretch of expressway passing through the district.

The five interchanges are being constructed at Shendra, Sawangi, Maliwada, Hadas Pimpalgaon and Jambhargaon. These interchanges will be dedicated ways connecting Samruddhi Mahamarg by road. There will be Toll Naka at each interchange. The vehicle-owners will have to obtain 'fast tag' to pay the toll online.

The expressway is indeed a milestone for the residents of Aurangabad district, and they could be reached either Mumbai or Nagpur in a short period of time. Presently, the people of Aurangabad and Jalna districts to proceed to Mumbai via Ahmednagar-Pune route or Nasik route. It takes around 6-7 hours, excluding traffic congestion. However, through Samruddhi Mahamarg, they could reach Mumbai in four hours. Besides, it takes 9-10 hours to reach Nagpur, and the same destination could be reached in 4-5 hours through Mahamarg.

120 underpass in district

The length of the expressway passing through the district is 112 km. There will be 120 underpasses and two overpasses on this length of the road so that the vehicle-owners passing through rural roads, linking roads, state highways and national highways, do not face any inconvenience.

Five interchanges

The interchange at Jaypur (near Shendra) will benefit vehicle-owners from Chikalthana and Shendra MIDC areas, Cidco localities proceeding either to Mumbai or Nagpur.

The interchange at Sawangi could be used by people from the above Cidco and other localities proceeding to Mumbai.

The interchange at Maliwada will benefit people from Aurangabad (old city), Railway Station, Chawani and Padegaon areas if they are heading to Mumbai.

The interchange at Hadas Pimpalgaon will help people from Gangapur tehsil, and the interchange at Jambhargaon will be useful for people from Vaijapur tehsil.
