Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) would soon be filing FIRs against personnel involved in illegally withdrawing the Provident Fund (PF) money from the account of department''s two employees. The complainants had brought to the notice of MSRTC administration of having lost Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 1.30 lakh from their PF accounts. Meanwhile, the department is waiting for the formal completion of the inquiry report.

As reported earlier, one MSRTC clerk had withdrawn PF money from the account of retired personnel. When the irregularity came to light, the accused clerk with the help of an accomplice brutally murdered the retired personnel in July. Two and a half months later, two active MSRTC personnel registered their complaints to the divisional controller, who then started an inquiry to find out who had withdrawn PF money from their account and to bust the racket active in this irregularity. All the official documents of the MSRTC office and the bank are verified. The inquiry officials came across several irregularities, it is learnt.

The inquiry team noticed that the department''s retired personnel having specific names are targeted. Meanwhile, the office had started an inquiry after receiving two complaints, but the office has appealed to more staffers or retired personnel to come forward and lodge complaints, said the sources.

The divisional controller Arun Siya said, " The employees of our department complained of being cheated. Hence, MSRTC will be filing FIR after completing the inquiry."
