Aurangabad, April 4:

One to one and a half thousand patients are coming positive every day for the last one and a half months. The area from which most patients are coming is not declared as a containment zone by the municipal corporation. Therefore, the corporation had to face severe criticism. The administration then immediately sought to identify areas hot spots for Covid-19 from smart city staff. A total of 26 containment zones were announced in the city on Saturday evening. The zones are divided into three different categories.

As per the directions of the government, the municipal administration undertook a survey through the Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation team to determine the containment zones in the city. The teams completed the survey from Asha workers working in 37 health centres in the city. According to the survey conducted in the last twenty days, 26 colonies have been declared as hotspots.
