In the much-discussed suspicious death of Vishnu More (34, Dhakephal), at 74 Jalgaon Phata in Paithan tehsil, police have finally registered a case of murder at the Bidkin police station after nearly two months.

The accused has been identified as Vaibhav Kale (24, Dhakephal). More’s body was found under suspicious circumstances in a tin shed at 74 Jalgaon Phata. Initially, the case was believed to be linked to an illegal liquor matter. However, based on a complaint lodged by the deceased’s mother, Padmabai More (65), it has been alleged that on the night of March 21, 2026, Vishnu was killed by Vaibhav Kale, who reportedly struck him on the head with a wooden stick following an old dispute. Notably, although the incident occurred on March 21, the offence was registered only on the night of May 6. Assistant police inspector Nilesh Shelke informed that the accused was taken into custody from his residence on May 6, and the court has remanded him to three days of police custody. Further investigation is being carried out by police sub-inspector Manjitsing Sena.
