Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the media is acting as the judiciary, in the Nida Khan case, which is extremely serious. “A burqa was found in her house, and books of Prophet Hazrat Mohammed (Pbuh) were found. Can these be considered evidence? Every Muslim household has a burqa and books of Hadith,” he stressed.

He further pointed out that the person who filed the complaint against her belongs to the ruling party. “The judiciary will deliver justice, and she will soon be acquitted,” he stated.

SIR App

AIMIM had organised a meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for all office-bearers and elected representatives from across the state to explain the use of an app developed by the party for conducting Special Intensive Revision (SIR). Owaisi arrived in the city on Saturday morning to guide the participants.

Media trial

While speaking to the mediapersons before the onset of the programme, Owaisi said, “ The company where Nida Khan had worked had officially clarified through a statement that she was not employed in the HR department. Besides, she is also no longer working with the company. There is only one allegation against her. What is happening in this case is merely a media trial, and we reject it completely. Since when has keeping a burqa and books of the Prophet at home become a crime?” he asked.

Referring to another case, Owaisi recalled, “In Delhi, a young man was branded a terrorist because a book by Mirza Ghalib was found in his house. Later, nothing could be proven in court. The case against Nida Khan will also not stand in court. The allegations against her will have to be proven before the judiciary.”

AIMIM’s corporator

“ The AIMIM corporator who has been made an accused would present his side before the court. All of this is a fabricated narrative created to spread hatred. We have faith that the judiciary will do its job,” Owaisi said.

AIMIM state president and former MP Imtiaz Jaleel and former MLA Waris Pathan were also present on the occasion.
