No Lights, No Safety: Deolai Underpass Puts City Residents at Risk

Residents have raised alarms over the deteriorating condition of the Deolai-side barricade at the local underpass, which was reportedly struck by an unidentified vehicle in the late-night hours.

The barricade, already weakened from repeated collisions by various vehicles, has become a growing hazard for commuters in the city. Chikalthana MIDC Worker Flags Underpass Safety Crisis Ramesh Garad, a company employee at Chikalthana MIDC, told Lokmat Times that the situation under the underpass has turned alarming. "Two to three people are forced to stay under the underpass at night due to the complete absence of lighting," he said. "It is very frightening to pass through the underpass after dark it has become a nightmare for us." Residents are demanding immediate intervention from civic authorities to restore lighting and repair the damaged barricade.
