Aurangabad, Jan 23:

An old woman was bluffed by a man that sarees are being distributed free and duped her of gold chain at Jadhavwadi, two days back. In a similar incident, another woman was duped of her chain with 140 gold beads with the lure of sarees distribution at Peer Bazar today. A case has been registered at the Osmanpura police station in this regard.

According to the details, Chandrakala Ramrao Bharti (60) had gone to Peer Bazar today for some work. An unknown man came near her and told her that sarees are being distributed to poor people and he can take her there. He told her that there is rush at that place and her chain can be snatched in the crowd and hence she should gave it to him for some time so that he can keep it safe. She gave her the chain and he bluffed her that he will come go and see whether the sarees are still being distributed. However, he fled away from the scene. When realized that she had been taken for a ride, she lodged a complaint at the Osmanpura police station.
