‘Paithan pattern’ of smart policing: Technology to curb crime, says Vinaykumar Rathod
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
“Policing is not just about investigating crimes but also about building trust with society. To strengthen this bond, the support of technology has become essential,” said superintendent of police Dr Vinaykumar Rathod. He was speaking at a police patil gathering organised during the annual inspection of the Paithan police station on Saturday.
At the start of his visit, Dr Rathod conducted a detailed inspection of records, the property room, and the armoury at the police station. He emphasised maintaining accuracy and transparency in documentation, stating that a clean and disciplined police station is the first step towards winning public trust. He also interacted individually with police personnel to understand their concerns.
Guiding police patil’s, he said they serve as a crucial link between villages and the administration. Promptly informing police about suspicious activities or social tensions is their primary responsibility. He urged them to use technology for faster information collection.
Sub-divisional police officer Sunil Patil and police inspector Mahadev Gomare, along with officers, staff, and police patils, were present.
Three-point formula highlighted
Dr Rathod outlined a three-point approach speed, transparency, and sensitivity to effectively control crime. He directed officials to increase the use of digital tools to stay ahead of criminals. His visit has infused new enthusiasm in the Paithan police force, and the impact of ‘smart policing’ combining technology and public outreach is expected to be seen in both urban and rural areas.
