Aurangabad, Feb 2:

The members of Parents Association staged sit-in agitation in front of Podar International School on Tuesday demanding concession in fees because of the financial crisis after the Novel coronavirus spread.

The agitators said that their financial resources were reduced in COVID situation and they are facing economic problems to run the family.

‘‘The school imparts online education for two hours daily

How can we pay Rs 80,000 fee and where we can bring such a huge amount now. We are ready to pay the fee for whatever facility availed by our children during the lockdown,” said that agitators, most of them were women.

The parents have already submitted a memorandum to the chief minister, education minister, MLAs, director of education, district collector and the school principal against the school

charging a full fee for online education.

The school management has informed parents that their children's examination would be conducted if fees are not paid. This forced parents to agitate in front of the school today.

They have given a week to the school management to reduce the fees, otherwise, they would agitate in front of divisional commissional office.
