Aurangabad, March 1:

The Chikalthana police busted a racket of providing answers to the questions of the examination held for the recruitment of the vacant posts in the public health department, on Sunday. The answers were provided from Gajanan study centre at MMC Building at Khokadpura. The owner went to Nashik and to pose that he has no connection with the racket is operating from there, the sources said. The police are searching him.

It may be noted that the police arrested Madan Dharamsingh Bahure, Rahul Dharamsingh Bahure, Fulbaig Gulab Baig, Ramesh Harishchandra Bamnawat, Santosh Madhavrao Ragade in this connection on Sunday.

The owner, Swapnil Sheshrao Bahekar, (Uday Colony, Bhoiwada) and Pawan Kawale, who fled away from the centre are at large and the police have launched a massive manhunt for them.

According to the details, the Chikalthana police arrested Madan Bahure at the entrance of the Dhanashree Agriculture College examination centre at Gevrai Tanda. He was carrying a micro device to get the answers. His brother Rahul was standing outside the centre to provide the answers. Similarly, two persons from the study centre and other other were also arrested.

The sources said that the accused charge around Rs 10 to 15 lakh from each candidate for providing answers in the competitive, police recruitment and other examinations. The candidates were asked to purchase micro device ear bud and a micro mobile for providing the answers in the examination. The police are investigating in this direction.

Meanwhile, all the five arrested accused were presented before the court under the guidance of API Vishwas Patil by PSI A C Kumbhare and others. The court remanded them in the police custody till March 4.
