Police women learn art of stress-free living

A ‘Stress-Free Living’ workshop for women police personnel was organised on Tuesday, at Kailash Shilp Auditorium, focusing on mental health and work-life balance.

The initiative was conceptualised by special inspector general of police Virendra Mishra, and conducted under the guidance of superintendent of police Dr Vinay Kumar Rathod. The programme was organised by the police welfare branch. Counsellor Dr Arundhati Bhalerao attended as chief speaker and highlighted scientific approaches to stress management, including the role of “happy hormones” and interactive exercises for cognitive and emotional well-being. Additional SP Annapurna Singh presided over the event, stressing dual responsibilities of women officers and importance of time management and communication skills.

Trainee DSP Aarti Pawar coordinated the programme with senior officers from headquarters and police stations. Around 60–70 women personnel participated across the district police units respectively effectively.
