Pollution increased during Diwali

Aurangabad, Nov 19: Corona, is a disease that directly affects the respiratory system. Moreover, increasing air pollution is the most dangerous factor for severity in the patients. The residents, despite the safety guidelines issued by the government, are adding to the pollution. They busted crackers during Diwali enormously, which has increased the severe threat of Corona again.

On November 14, the particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5) in the air was reported enormous while the pollution was a record high on November 15 evening. The PM2.5 in the air was 439. The PM 2.5 particles are very minute and hence it cannot be prevented even by using masks. Moreover, nitrogen-di-oxide and carbon mono-oxide content is also more in the air.

The PM2.5 in the air on November 14 recorded between 7 pm and 9 pm was 233, and the quality of air was 134 and the next day it increased to 439 by evening. The PM1.5 level in the air was 328 and 313 on November 16 and 17, respectively.
