Prices edible rose in Diwali festival
Aurangabad, Nov 15:
Prices of edible oils like soybean, cottonseed and palm oil were the highest ever per litre in the city during Diwali festival.
It crossed Rs 100 mark first time due to different reasons including crops of cotton and soybean damaged due to heavy rainfall and reduction in oil import. Soybean and cottonseed are sold at Rs 110 per litre. The sale suddenly increased at the festival.
A trader Jagannath Basayye said that prices of edible oil broke all its records. He hoped that rates would come down after Diwali and with the arrival of groundnut oil.
