Provide information on mucormycosis patients between June 1-28

Aurangabad, July 1:

Justice R V Ghuge and Justice A G Gharote of the Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court on Wednesday ordered to furnish information about the number of mucormycosis patients between June 1 to 28, number of injections of amphetamine-B given to them and the number of casualties. The bench also directed the deputy directors of health of Aurangabad, Latur and Nashik to submit the affidavit by July 2.

The bench has warned that the relevant deputy directors will be held responsible for the statement made in the affidavit. The next hearing on the petition will be held on July 5. The bench passed the orders during the hearing on Wednesday on the public interest litigation regarding Covid-19. In this case, the Amicus curiae adv Satyajit Bora, assistant solicitor general A G Talhar, chief public prosecutor D R Kale oversaw the work.

Ventilator manufacturer must be made a defendant

The bench gave permission to make Rajkot (Gujarat) based Jyoti CNC Automation company, the manufacturer of the ventilators supplied to the Government Medical College and Hospital by the central government from the PM Care Fund defendant in the case. The court has ordered a notice on the company's e-mail and reply by July 5. Amicus curiae adv Bora stated that in view of the present condition of ventilators and considering the earlier order of the High Court, it is necessary to make the manufacturers of ventilators the defendants.
