Aurangabad, June 17:

The Economic offense wing (EOW) of the Pune police arrested the founder of the Aadarsh Group in the city Ambadas Abaji Mankape in the alleged Bhaichand Hirachand Raisoni Credit Society (BHR) scam on Wednesday at around 6.30 am. The scam has created sensation in the cooperative sector across the state. The Pune EOW officers came to the city in the morning and raided the house of Mankape with the help of the Cidco police station staff. The officers took Mankape in custody, stating that they are taking him for the investigation to Pune.

Mankape had established an economic empire in the city through the co-operative institute. He is the founder of various institutes including Aadarsh Mahila Nagari Sahakari Bank, Aadarsh Credit Socity, Aadarsh Dudh Dairy, Aadarsh English School, Aadarsh Hospital and also runs a newspaper. Sensation prevailed in the co-operative sector with Mankape’s arrest.
