Railway in haste for electrification work

Aurangabad, Feb 14:

The South Central Railway (SCR) has intensified the

preparations for the inauguration of the electrification on the Manmad to

Nanded line. The inauguration is likely to be done by the Railway minister

within a week, for which grand preparations have been started.

The Divisional Regional Manager of Nanded Division Upinder

Singh visited the Aurangabad Railway Station on Sunday and inspected the work.

The tender process for the electrification work was completed a few days back

and now everyone is eagerly waiting for the inauguration.

Moreover, due to the works undertaken for the

electrification, importance is also given to the facilities to be provided at

the Aurangabad Railway Station are also being considered. Colouring work has

been undertaken at various places at the station. The place for the laying the

foundation stone of the electrification work is also being searched. The

railway administration has started grand preparations for it while all the

people’s representatives of the Marathwada region will be invited for the

function. The date of the inauguration will be declared soon.
