Aurangabad, June 17:
Heavy rains lashed the cantonment, Begumpura, Mill Corner and Samarthnagar areas of the city on Thursday afternoon. However, it rained sparsely in some areas and was completely dry in other areas. The rains started at 12.42 pm in the cantonment area and gradually increased. University, Bhadkalgate, Millcorner, Khadkeshwar, Aurangpura, Samarthnagar areas received heavy rains for half an hour. However, dry weather prevailed in Hudco, Harsul and Jadhavwadi areas at the same time. At 2 pm, it rained sparsely in Cidco and Connaught Place. Chikalthana observatory recorded 00.2 mm of rainfall.
