In a positive sign for reading culture, the Government Divisional Library in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is witnessing a steady rise in young readership. In the financial year 2025–26, the library received 350 membership applications and registered 120 new members, taking its total membership to 9,635.

With over two lakh books and dedicated sections for reference material, periodicals, and competitive exams, the library continues to function as a key knowledge hub for students and readers across the city.

Young readers are increasingly exploring a mix of literature, self-help, and biographies. Popular titles include Chhava, Radheya, Yayati, Hindu, Ikigai, along with biographies of global figures such as Elon Musk and Warren Buffett.

A student, Saloni Dayma, shared her reading experience of Elon Musk’s biography, saying the book reflects relentless ambition, bold risk-taking, and the drive to create world-changing innovations. She added that such books help young readers think beyond limitations and explore larger goals in life.

Another student, Rahul Verma, a literature enthusiast, said the library has become an essential part of his daily routine. “It offers a calm and focused environment away from distractions. The atmosphere itself motivates me to read more and use my time better,” he said. He also noted that the growing number of young visitors reflects a quiet shift towards disciplined learning spaces.

"It is a very important library in the division for reference on various subjects, and therefore it is also known as a reference library. A large number of citizens from the city and nearby areas benefit from the library on a daily basis. Library services are effectively provided through sections such as the collection section, periodicals section, reference section, and competitive examination section. More than two lakh books are available in the library. I appeal citizens to become members of the library and make use of the books available."
