The rate of recovery of the Corona patients has reached 86 percent now due to the strenuous efforts taken by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to restrict the spread of the Corona virus. The recovery rate increased by two percent in the past two days. The residents have heaved a sigh of relief due to the patients'' recovery.

Earlier, 200 to 300 patients were reported positive daily but now the rate of patients has decreased. In all, 150 to 200 patients are reported daily in the entire district and around 100 in the municipal corporation limits. Moreover, the recovery rate of the patients is improving now. The recovery rate on Thursday reached 86 percent, while it was 84 percent two days back. Corona tests of 2,35,999.17 persons after every 10 lakh population were taken in the city so far, while this figure in the district is 45,456. As per the AMC report on Thursday, 2,23,457 tests were conducted so far, of which 2,01,582 were negative and 11,368 positive.

However, the mortality rate due to Covid-19 is still a matter of concern. The mortality rate has not changed from 3.043 in the city. It is constant for the past few days. Similarly, the mortality rate in the district is 2.9 percent and 2.8 percent in the state.
