Aurangabad, June 26:

Finally, the pending recruitment process for 265 posts of the Health Department of Zilla Parishad (ZP) in 18 categories will resume soon. It may be noted that the advertisement was released on March 1, 2019 for the recruitment of 265 posts. However, the recruitment was pending due to reservation, Covid and various elections. The permission to fill 100 per cent of seats in five categories.

Chairman of the Health Committee of ZP Avinash Galande said that the advertisement would be published on June 29.

District health officer Sudhakar Shelke said that the permission received for 100 pc recruitment in five categories.

There is a reservation for a person with a disability (PWD) challenged persons was increased from three pc to four pc.

Those who have to learn disability, blind, cerebral palsy, handicapped, deaf and dumb, acid attack survivor will get an equal reservation in the PWD category.

The examinations will be held on August 7 and 8. A total of 189 posts are for health workers, 66 for health assistant, eight for pharmacy officer and two for laboratory technician.

The filling of the posts will reduce the burden of existing health employees.

Deputy chief executive officer Shirish Bansode said that Rural Development Department would carry out the recruitment. The posts of SEBC fall within the open category. So, they can choose Economic Weaker Section (EWS) or an open category for the written examination.

Avinash Galande said that the health committee gave administrative approval to Rs 1 lakh spending on water quality survey, Rs 8 lakh for construction of boundary wall, Rs 5 lakh for purchasing dog and snake bites vaccines for patients.

He said that five dengue patients were found at Jaitapur in Kannad tehsil while two detected at Saratal in Aurangabad tehsil. “A four-month-old child died from dengue. Instructs were issued to create awareness about dengue considering the upcoming third wave of Covid.
