Aurangabad, June 29:

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University extended the last date of registration for Ph D admissions for 15 days.

It may be noted the university conducted Ph D Entrance Test (PET) in the first phase of admissions between January and March 2021.

More than 4,000 candidates were declared eligible for the registration of the second phase of Ph D admissions.

Those who qualified PET and those who were exempted from it were allowed to register online for the second phase of admissions from June 11. The last date of registration is June 30.

There was a demand from students and their unions to extend the date of registration.

Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation Dr Yogesh Patil issued a notification on Tuesday extending the last registration date up to July 15. The last date of submission of hardcopy with Ph D section is July 20.

“The candidates who passed the PET or exempted from the test are eligible to apply for the online registration of the second phase,” he added.

After the registration, research aspirants will be called for presentation in their subject before Research and Recognition Committee (RRC). The subject-wise schedule of the presentation will be released in August if the Covid situation remains under control.
