Aurangabad, Oct 21:

Remdesivir injections, which are important in the treatment of critical Covid-19 patients, are now available at discounted rates at two medical stores in the city. The injections will be given to poor patients taking treatment in private hospitals.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued guidelines on the availability of Remdesivir injections at fixed rates for poor patients seeking treatment for corona in private hospitals. Accordingly, injections have now been made available to patients at a cheaper rate of Rs 2,360 per vial.

For this, the administration has selected two medical shops, one at Panchakki and other at Hudco. However, this injection will not be available unless the demand is received from the district surgeon. Two nodal officers have also been appointed, informed FDA joint commissioner, Sanjay Kale.

Injections will be available at these medical stores

Remdesivir injections on discounted rates will be available at two locations in the city. These include Janausdhi Kendra at Government Medical College and Hospital (Amol Borade, 8087494627) and M/s Urban Bazaar, N9, R 26, Near Baliram Patil School, Raigad Nagar, Hudco (Manohar Kore, 9822034529).
