Aurangabad, Feb 24:

The Vedantnagar police have registered a case against a PUC centre and three vehicle owners for duping the Regional Transport Office (RTO) by presenting forged PUC.

The accused have been identified as vehicle number (MH 20 CT 8211) owner, A.M.K.P.U.C Centre owner Mujeeb Khan (Mill Compound Beed By-pass Chowk), passenger bus owner number (MH 20 DD 955) and Sai PUC Centre owner Kailas Kisan Tribhuvan, car number (MH 20 BT 7948) owner, (HP Auto Centre Waluj).

Police said, the officers of RTO seized two vehicles at the office. The centre owners without conducting the PUC of the vehicles issued forged PUC. They submitted these documents between May 10, 2019 and October 7, 2020. Motor inspector, Shaikh Feroz Subhan checked the documents and found that it was fake and hence a case was lodged at the Vedantnagar police station. PSI, Shankar Dukare, is further investigating the case.
