A moving e-bike suddenly caught fire on Friday afternoon in the Harsul-Sawangi area, leaving the vehicle completely gutted within minutes. The incident, which unfolded near the Samruddhi Expressway toll plaza, sent shockwaves among onlookers.

Santosh Kondke(Harsul), was riding the e-bike with his son, who is currently appearing for exams. As they neared the toll plaza, smoke started billowing from the vehicle. Realizing the danger, Kondke quickly pulled over. Before he could react, flames engulfed the bike. Within moments, the fire intensified, and by the time help arrived, the vehicle was beyond saving. Despite attempts to douse the fire with water from nearby, the e-bike was reduced to ashes within half an hour. Kondke had purchased the vehicle just two years ago. The cause of the fire remains unknown, raising concerns over e-bike safety. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident further.
