Savarkar himself had dispelled the Manuvadi thoughts
Aurangabad, Dec 6:
Leftists are constantly accusing Swatantra Veer Savarkar of being a Manuwadi. But by writing 9 articles, Savarkar himself had dispelled the Manuvadi thoughts. He was truly a secular. The social revolution they carried out to break down caste barriers has never come before the world. And based on partial information, the oppositions are criticizing him to the utmost, alleged Savarkar''s grandnephew Satyaki Savarkar.
He was speaking at a lecture organized by Savarkar Parivar and Rau Foundation on Sunday. Satyaki further said that Savarkar criticized the superstition in Hindus. He opposed casteism and presented a humanitarian idea of equal respect and rights for all. He had brought about a humanitarian, social revolution beyond caste by trying to break the shackles of old beliefs. Savarkar turned to Hindutva after seeing injustice being done to Hindus at the time of independence. Still, he had said then that Hindu is not a religion but a geographical word and it is pure humanist thought. However, Satyaki lamented that the opposition had distorted Savarkar''s interpretation of Hindutva for their own political gain. He also mentioned that the constitution exists in our country due to the Hindu mentality and people who are loyal to the nation. Foundation president Ashish Suradkar, Gauri Kulkarni, Yuvraj Kulkarni were present.
