Aurangabad, Feb 23:

A senator and students union took objection to the decision of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) to hold the second paper of the Ph D Entrance Test (PET)-V at the designated centre.

It may be noted that the university issued the PET examination process in the last week of December.

As per the process, the students were to be allowed to take the paper from home because of the Novel coronavirus spread.

However, the students took the first paper from home. After the result, BAMU announced that the second paper would only be held at the designated centres, not from home.

In a memorandum submitted to the vice-chancellor on Tuesday, Senator Shaikh Zahur Khalid took objection to the university's decision to ask students to appear for the second paper at the allotted centres.

“There is a rise in the number of COVID patients across the State and even the State Government banned gather of people to reduce the spread of the pandemic virus. There is a threat to students life in such a situation. They should be allowed to take the second paper from home,” he added.

Some students unions too objected to the decision of asking students for appearing PET paper second in rising a COVID threat.
