Shops to reopen in Mondha at 7 am, first time

Aurangabad, April 18:

Shops will reopen in Mondha area at 7 am on April 19, as per the revised lockdown guidelines of the district administration.

It may be noted that Zillay Vyapari Mahasangh, with the help of people’s representatives, decided to continue essential commodities services between 7 am and 1 pm and maintain strict lockdown later.

Chief Minister granted permission for the decision. District collector issued revised orders on Saturday night under 'Break the Chain' guidelines. Essential commodities should remain open from 7 am to 1 pm as per the guidelines.

Some shops were opened at Mondha till 1 pm despite being Sunday. Generally, traders reopen their shops at 10 am in Mondha. Now, wholesale shops will remain open between 7 am and 1 pm, the first time after Independence.

Chairman of Agriculture Produce Market Committee Radhakisan Pathade said that adat market of grains at Jadhavwadi would remain open from 7 am to 1 pm and farmers should do planning as per the new schedule.

Many shops were not shut down even after 1 pm at Pundliknagar, Garkheda Parisar and Shivajinagar today. When the police came there, the shop owners started closing their business establishments. Police made fruit vendors return home.
