A 22-year-old, allegedly died by suicide at his home in Ranjangaon Shenpunji, Waluj on Saturday morning, following a dispute with his wife. He had been married for just six months.

The deceased has been identified as Pawan Bhute (a native of Rahimabad, Sillod tehsil, currently residing in Om Sai Nagar, Ranjangaon Shenpunji) . Bhute, who was working in Waluj, was reportedly under mental stress due to frequent minor disputes in recent days. He allegedly hanged himself at his residence. On Saturday morning, when there was no response from inside the house, his brother became suspicious and saw him hanging through a window. Waluj MIDC police were alerted. Officers Suhas Munde and Manoj Bansode reached the spot, broke open the door as it was locked from inside, and rushed him to government medical college and hospital, where doctors declared him dead. A case has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station, and further investigation is underway. The incident has left the area in shock.
