A serious accident near Tisgaon Chowfuli on Thursday afternoon caused panic after a speeding car rammed into a loading vehicle from behind, leaving two persons injured and disrupting traffic.
The loading vehicle (MH-20-DE-6321) was travelling from Tisgaon towards Vadgaon around 4 pm when a car (MH-20-GV-7565) hit it with force, damaging the front portions of both vehicles. The driver of the loading vehicle, Babasaheb Thombre, sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital, while car driver Subhash Parkhe suffered minor injuries. Residents rushed to the spot after hearing the loud crash and helped shift the injured. Traffic congestion prevailed for some time before Waluj MIDC police reached the scene and restored vehicular movement.
