Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
A 22-year-old factory worker died after the motorcycle which he was riding was dashed by a speeding Hyva truck near Align Company in Shendra MIDC. The deceased has been identified as Saurabh Govind Tambe.
It is learnt that the truck driver and the motorcycle rider, both failed to gauge the directions of each other and hence the two vehicles collided head on. The accident was so severe that Tambe died on the spot, while the truck driver fled away from the spot. Meanwhile, the police have launched a hunt to trace the absconding driver. Further investigation is on.
