Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The state government’s Registration and Stamps Department has launched a digitisation project to preserve bar-nishi, printed and marriage records from all registration offices across the state.

An agency has been appointed for the ambitious project in the district. The work will include secure handling, scanning, classification and preservation of records. Deputy inspector general of registration and deputy controller of stamps Vijay Bhalerao said the project is important for protecting old records and that all documents from the establishment of stamp registration offices till date will be scanned and made available online.
