Aurangabad, Feb 12:
The state government today has approved the promotion of Aparna Thete (the legal advisor) as the deputy commissioner of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) under section 45 (4) of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act. The state Urban Development Department (UDD) has issued the order.
The post of deputy commissioner is a statutory post as per section 45 of MMCA. Hence in connection with the promotion of Thete from an open category, the selection committee recommended passing an administrative resolution granting promotion by name and then send it to the state government for its approval. The AMC administrator had approved the administrative resolution no. 44 of dated October 8, 2020.
