Summer vacation has been announced for colleges affiliated with Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) from Sunday. Postgraduate departments of the university will go on vacation from May 2, according to the university administration.

Under the guidance of vice-chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari, strict implementation of the academic calendar has been followed since last year. The academic year 2025–26 began on June 16, and April 25 will be the last working day. Colleges across Beed, Dharashiv, Jalna, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts affiliated with the university will have summer vacation from April 26 to June 14. Postgraduate departments at the main campus and Dharashiv sub-centre will have holidays from May 2.

Deputy registrar of the Academic Section, Dr Sanjay Kawade, informed that the new academic year 2026–27 for the university and affiliated colleges will commence from June 15.

Upcoming academic year schedule announced

The university has announced that the academic calendar from admissions to examinations and results will be strictly followed in the upcoming academic year. As per the schedule, the new session will begin on June 15, and admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be completed by July 31.

The Central Youth Festival will be held from October 5 to 8, while the convocation ceremony is scheduled in October. First semester examinations will take place between October 21 and December 15, followed by the second semester starting on December 16. Annual examinations will be conducted from April 9 to May 19, 2027, the university said.
