Aurangabad, Oct 17:

The Pundliknagar police arrested the thief in just 24 hours who broke a hardware shop at Pundliknagar Road and stole geezers and mixers. The police have seized the stolen geezer and mixer sold to a scrap vendor. Similarly, a massive manhunt for the accomplice of the thief has also been launched.

The arrested has been identified as Shaikh Irfan Shaikh Lal (25, Garkheda). The thieves broke the shop Pushpak Sanitation and Paints on Pundliknagar Road and stole geezers on Thursday. The thieves also damaged CCTV cameras. The next day, the shop owner Mahesh Rameshwar Totla lodged a complaint at Pundliknagar police station. API Ghansham Sonawane, ASI B D Rathod, havaldar Ramesh Sangle, Balaram Chaure, Shivaji Gaikwad, Vilas Ghorpade and other policemen started the investigation and it was found that Irfan and his accomplice committed the theft. Later, the police nabbed Irfan on the ground behind BSGM School. He confessed that he committed the theft with the help of his accomplice Shaikh Bablu Shaikh Rauf and sold the geezers and mixers to a scrap vendor. The police seized the stolen articles and are searching for Bablu.
