The Mukundwadi police arrested a thief who broke a house of a bank employee at Jaibhaninagar. The police have seized stolen articles worth Rs 32,800 and have launched a massive manhunt for the accomplice of the arrested thief. The arrested has been identified as Bharat alias John Shankar Anarthe (Jaibhavaninagar). Thieves broke a house of of a bank employee Vishal Baban Pawar at Jaibhavaninagar on September 26 and stole articles worth Rs 2.5 lakh. Pawar lodged a complaint in this regard on September 30. PI, Sudhakar Bavkar and other officers visited the spot and investigated. The thief was captured in the CCTV camera. Accordingly, the police arrested Bharat on Thursday. He confessed about the theft and also told the names of his accomplices. The police seized stolen articles worth Rs 32,800 out of the total stolen articles. The police action was executed by PI Bavkar, PSI Rahul Bangar, Vikas Dhokre, Sunil Chavan, Amol Mhaske, Kautik Gore and others.
