Aurangabad, Feb 7:

Thieves entered Kaidar village in Paithan tehsil, locked the houses from outside and took away valuables worth lakhs of rupees from three houses of a single lane on Saturday midnight. The villagers were panicked after the incident. The Pachod police rushed to the spot in the morning.

Police said, Kaidar Village is situated on Pachod to Paithan Road. The thieves entered the village on Saturday night and broke into the houses of Anil Raut and Gopal Raut. They stole Rs 30,000 cash, 50 new Sarees, 30 trouser pieces and other valuables. Later, they went to Raosaheb Thange’s house and stole gold earings, silver jewellery amounting Rs 1.5 lakh. They also stole Rs 11,000 cash from Bhagwan Khire’s house.

Meanwhile, Anil Raut came out of the house and informed the Police Patil about the incident. On receiving the information, API Atul Yerme, PSI Suresh Mali, constable Kishor Shinde, Firoz Borde, Jeevan Gudhekar, Bhagwan Dhande and others rushed the spot.

The incidents of thefts have increased in this area, two persons looted an old man near Thergaon on Pachod to Paithan Road, three days back. Hence, panic spread among the residents in this area.
