Aurangabad, April 12:

Thieves broke into a house at Khinvansaranagar in Bidkin, severely beat the house owner Raghunath Mohan Rathod (61) and took away valuables worth Rs 80,000 on Sunday night.

The Rathod family after the dinner went to sleep on Sunday. During the midnight, around four persons entered the house by breaking the door. They snatched a chain amounting around Rs 40,000 from the neck of Raghunath’s wife. They also severely beat him and tried to stab him but he saved the attack. As the family members started shouting for help, the thieves fled away from the scene taking valuables amounting Rs 80,000.

A case has been registered at the Bidkin police station while API Santosh Mane is further investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the thieves left a silver utensil stolen from the house of Vijay Jadhav at Krishnapur in the house of Rathod. The thieves have been captured in the CCTV camera.
