Aurangabad, Nov 23:

Thieves broke into a house of a trader at Muthiyan Apartment at Deepnagar and made off with Rs 2 lakh cash and 22 grams gold jewellery, all amounting Rs 3 lakh. The incident came to fore on Monday afternoon.

Trader, Vishal Sukhlal Sokhiya lives with his family at flat no. 2 at Muthiyan Residency at Deepnagar. On November 21, he had gone to Chikalthana in Kannad tehsil to his in-laws with his family. The thieves took advantage of the situation and entered the lock house and made off with Rs 2 lakh cash and 22 grams gold jewellery.

Sokhiya returned to the city on Monday afternoon and noticed that the door of the house was open and all the articles were scattered everywhere in the house. He immediately informed about the theft to the Jawaharnagar police station.

API, Shraddha Waidale, PSI Bharat Pachole and others rushed to the spot and conducted a panchanama.

The police called the sniffer dog and finger print teams. The sniffer dog moved around 300 meters around the apartment. The police are also searching the CCTV cameras footages.
