Vyapari Mahasangh demands permission to reopen shops

Aurangabad, May 17:

Zilla Vyapari Mahasangh (ZVM) demanded to reopen the shops in the city between 7 am and 4 pm.

In a memorandum submitted to district guardian minister Subhash Desai on Monday, the ZVM office-bearers stated that the whole market, except essential commodities, was closed for the past many days.

The Mahasangh said that all traders are facing a financial crisis because of shops closure.

Their other demands included immediate permission for four days to carry out repair work before the rainy season begins, announcing special package for traders by the Government, concession on electricity bill of lockdown period, concession on property tax, no fine to be levied on pending property until March 31, 2022, extension for paying loan instalments to banks and private credit cooperative societies without any fine.

ZVM president Jagannath Kale, secretary Sachin Laxminarayan Rathi, Tansukh Zambad and Vinod Loya were present.

The guardian minister assured the delegation of holding talks with the district collector to grant permission to reopen business establishments.
