The Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) recently conducted an online webinar on GST and analysis of new CAROTAR rules and in-bound manufacturing.
Renowned experts from Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan Attorneys gave presentations, interacted with the participants and replied to their queries. Speakers Manish Jain, and Saurabh Malpani gave presentation on customs (Administration of Rules of Origin under Trade Agreements) Rules, 2020 (CAROTAR) depicting types of warehouses, manufacturing and other operations allowed in warehouses, renewed push from government, salient features of a section 65 unit and facilities allowed to a section 65 unit and pain points under the scheme. Speakers Nirav Karia and Chaitanya Bhatt gave presentations on developments in GST, implications on benefits provided to employees and post supply discounts.
